Process
1 Brief
We meet at either your location, or our design studio and chat through the project and plans to define your scope of work, what involvement you expect from DCI and how we can work together to achieve your goals.
2 Fee Estimate
After our scope is established for your project and the level of input required from DCI is defined, we can prepare, on request, a fee estimate of our time specific to your project. This will ensure everything sits within your expectations.
3 Concept
After reviewing the architectural plans DCI will produce a carefully curated selection of suitable materials, finishes and layouts, which will then be presented to you for initial feedback.
4 Hard Fit Out Development
On approval of the above stages, we further develop these concepts and provide detailed documentation, drawings, and markups on the finishes selected for all exterior and interior spaces. This includes flooring, window coverings, bespoke cabinetry, hardware, lighting, kitchen design and fittings, bathroom design and fittings.
Basically everything that gets left behind if you were to move out.
DCI will assist in obtaining quotes and help guide you in making the right decision and getting the right trades for your project.
5 Soft Fit Out Development
Once the hard fit out is underway, we can then move on to specify a considered furniture scheme, this includes all fabric and accessory suggestions. This often involves a combination of customised pieces and off the shelf solutions. Our selections are then presented for your feedback where trade showroom visits can then be arranged.
Once quotes have been accepted DCI manage the ordering, delivery and install process to coincide with your completion dates.
6 Documentation
For new builds and renovations, we provide full documentation for your builder and all trades. This includes all items specified by our team, comprehensive drawings, with materials and finishes.
